Christmas Bingo Calendar 2009

Let It Snow Bingo! - 1st December

The first day of December already has the feeling of Christmas, the days are shorter, the temperature is getting colder and usually we have snow too. The first snow always makes me feel very cozy, warm and quiet. Don’t you think that when the snow is falling then the world is stopping a bit and gets quieter? More on the snow you will find below!

Bingo Bonus of the Day

These days are the best for getting some bonus bucks before Christmas – at least my shopping list is usually long enough so I’m happy to get some additional monies. On 1st of December we are featuring our favorite bingo site: Bingo Hall.

Winter Room at Bingo Hall!

Just what everybody was waiting for, an unexpected surprise! While everybody is freezing outside, Bingo Hall will host 2 Winter Nights, full of fixed prizes that will range from $100 to $1775. Be prepared because these Winter Nights will be open for you on December 2nd and December 3rd, in the special Winter Room.

When the night gets so cold that all you want is to get home, don’t worry! Bingo Hall will be waiting for you; the winter nights will start at 6:00pm to 10:00pm EST, 4 hours with prizes falling like snow! Price per card will be $0.50 and max cards per game will be 15.

Funny Facts: First day of December

The first day of December is also called National Pie Day and the Feast Day of St. Eligius. Rumors say that this was the day in 1830 when Victor Hugo finished his famous novel: The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Did you know that on 1st of December, 1990 English and French workers met in the English Channel seabed first time since the Ice Age (the channel was officially opened in 1994)?

Let it Snow, Let it Snow

We have talked about how amazing the snowfall can be, now let’s see some nice pictures.

I always wanted to know how big a snowflake could get. And here is the answer:

Snowflakes are agglomerates of many snow crystals. Most snowflakes are less than one-half inch across. Under certain conditions, usually requiring near-freezing temperatures, light winds, and unstable, convective atmospheric conditions, much larger and irregular flakes close to two inches across in the longest dimension can form. No routine measure of snowflake dimensions are taken, so the exact answer is not known.
